Our opportunity quilt

Our quilt show is unique in that it is presented each year as part of the Placer County Fair, and although other quilters come to the show, our primary audience is the general public.

Also, because we don’t charge for admission (admission is free with entry to the fair), our boutique is important as a fundraiser.

QUILT SHOW

To this end, we have many activities for our members and that include the public.   These include speakers, workshops, a quilt show, and a lot of donations to community organizations.  We invite you to browse our website and see what we’re all about.

Roseville Quilters Guild was founded to:

Jan Martin and Irene Davis hand-appliquéd the blocks.  Jan and Irene made the borders. Joanne Marion had fun making the center piece.  Irene sewed the quilt together and Jan and Joanne worked with her to complete the project.

The beautiful quilting was done by Lin Squires of Roseville.  Vina Woodland did the binding.

We will sell raffle tickets all year.  The winner will be drawn on December 3, 2011.  You need not be present to win.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Giving to the community is a major focus for the Roseville Quilters Guild, and we accomplish this in many ways.

Our 2011 Opportunity Quilt, “Heartland,” was adapted from a pattern by Pearl Pereira and Susan Prioleau.

The project was coordinated by Irene Davis, Jan Martin, and Joanne Marion.  Because it was a large project it required the help of many people:  Ruth Kennedy, Lynette Schroedle, Vina Woodland, Connie Richerson, Linda Rhyne, Bev Kennedy, Donna Gervais, Colleen  Voet,  Jackie   Smith,
